Why use a STACYC chain tensioner

The STACYC chain tensioner is designed to maintain proper rear wheel alignment and consistent chain positioning on STACYC performance models. It helps preserve smooth drivetrain operation without putting unnecessary stress on internal components.

Even though these models are equipped with a cush drive, the chain should never be over-tightened. A small amount of slack is required to allow the system to absorb normal load variations during riding.

Important: an over-tightened chain can place excessive stress on the 90° angle drive gearbox and lead to premature wear of mechanical components.
