Usage & installation

• Replacement for worn or damaged gearbox

Important: this replacement requires basic mechanical skills. Nothing overly complex, but proper mechanical understanding is required.

Gearbox bolts may be secured with threadlocker (visible white residue). If you see this, try loosening normally first. If it does not cooperate, apply heat with a heat gun to soften the compound and prevent breaking bolts.

Broken bolts inside the gearbox are not covered under warranty.

It is essential to leave a slight chain slack during reassembly. A chain that is too tight can cause damage during impacts (jumps, compression), as the bike flexes under load.

In these conditions, the 90° gearbox absorbs the stress and may fail. Always adjust chain tension properly to protect drivetrain components.

Product note: the original standard version is discontinued. Only the Heavy Duty version is now available. The standard version is only included with the STACYC motor and controller upgrade kit.
